Restaurant Week in Boston is one of our favorite things about August, and it's actually two weeks (Sunday through Friday, Aug. 15-20 and Aug. 22-27). This year get two-course lunches for $15.10 or three-course lunches for $20.10 and three-course dinners for $33.10. To help you navigate the slew of participating restaurants, we've chosen our favorite restaurants for Boston Restaurant Week: Summer 2010 and highlighted our ideal meal at each. Editor's Ideal Meal: For a light lunch, the escarole salad, poached salmon and chocolate Napoleon will ensure a happy afternoon.
Editor's Ideal Meal: While the cheese fondue appetizer and lobster ravioli sound like the beginning of a scrumptious dinner, the main focus of this meal is the dessert: dark chocolate fondue served with fruits, marshmallows and cookies for dippin'.
Editor's Ideal Meal: After slurping down a cup of the restaurant's "hall of fame" clam chowder, I'd get working on the chicken spiked with horseradish and vodka. A white chocolate terrine adds a summery ending.
Editor's Ideal Meal: For locally grown picks, a blueberry and Riesling bisque starts off a dinner laden with steak and lobster ratatouille as a main course and a Taza chocolate pie for dessert.
Editor's Ideal Meal: Embrace your inner vegan and try the chilled avocado citrus soup, crevettes amrita and mousse aux fruits.
Editor's Ideal Meal: Get a home-style meal with crispy clams as an appetizer, fancy fried chicken as the main course, and fallen chocolate souffle as dessert.
Editor's Ideal Meal: To really make your mouth water, check out the seared foie gras to start, followed by gnocchi alla Romana for dinner and a raspberry tart to finish.
