There are countless ways in Boston you can support the aid efforts in the tragic aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti. In addition to donating directly to charities--including the Red Cross, Partners in Health and the Clinton Foundation's Haiti Earthquake Relief--participate in these local fundraising efforts. Henrietta's Table, Rialto, Noir, and Regattabar, all located over at the Charles Hotel are inviting guests to donate by making a contribution to their bill. 100 percent of the donations will go to Partners in Health.
Buy a large drink and Qdoba will donate $1 to the International Red Cross Efforts in Haiti.
Dante's Port-au-Prince Sazarac, $10 (8 year aged rhum Barbancourt, Peychaud bitters, simple syrup, orange and lemon zest, Absinthe rinse) will be available for the next month. 100 percent of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.
SATURDAY MARCH 13, 1pm-5:30pm. Mishell Brookins will gather elite instructors and practitioners of all levels of yoga practice. The class aims to provide relief and financial aid for the rebuilding of Haiti's infrastructure by donating the proceeds of this event to Partners in Health, UNICEF and Doctors Without Borders.
UNTIL SUNDAY FEBRUARY 28. In all Legal Sea Food locations, proceeds from Haitian Rum Raisin Bread Puddings sold in February will benefit UNICEF and Partners in Health.
MONDAY MARCH 15, 6pm. Heritage & Heart for Haiti: A celebration of Haitian music and art. Celebrated Jazz Vocalist Pauline Jean will perform classic Haitian music and speak about her parent's native home. Haitian art will be on display and available for purchase from a variety of artists. Chef Dante de Magistris will attempt to set aside his Italian recipes and create authentic Caribbean fare for the special evening. Proceeds will be donated to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund (suggested donation $100). Advance ticket purchase is recommended as space is limited.
FRIDAY FEBRUARY 26, 8pm. Du fond de ma pensee: A concert to benefit earthquake relief efforts in Haiti, featuring Renaissance choral works by Goudimel and le Jeune, new works by Henning and Serpa, and a performance of Bach's Cantata 131: Aus der Tiefe with soloists, chorus and an orchestra of period instruments. Suggested donation, $15 general admission, $10 students.
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 28, 7pm. In partnership with the American Red Cross, Rumor hosts a night of premiere entertainment to help raise money for Haiti relief. DJs: Tamer Malki, DJJC, Roger M, Dirty Deck. Live Performances by: R&B Artist Josh Xantos, Hatian Musician BoBo. Also: Haitian painter Larimer Saincilus and Joseph Cheri, Haitian jazz by Andy Orcel, food by Tamboo and Bon Apetit.
FRIDAY FEBRUARY 19, 6pm-9pm. Benefit event includes free appetizers, drink specials, discounted food, live music, giveaways and raffle. All donations go toward Partners in Health.
SATURDAY JANUARY 16, 8am-1pm. All beverages at the 1369 Coffeehouses in both Central and Inman Squares will be free, plus live music in the morning. The cafes will be accepting donations to support Partners in Health's Earthquake Relief in Haiti. If you want your donation to be tax-deductible, use a check with your address on it.
MONDAY JANUARY 18, 11:30am-10pm. On Martin Luther King Day, Burtons will donate 15 percent of its total revenue from the day's sales in its four restaurants (Boston, North Andover, Hingham, South Windsor, CT) to the William J. Clinton Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund.
SUNDAY JANUARY 17, 8pm-10pm. This South End Asian diner is donating 100 percent of sales on Sunday evening to Doctors Without Borders in Haiti.
MONDAY JANUARY 18, 8pm-1am. TeaParty Boston and Great Scott team up with local musicians in an effort to raise money for earthquake victims in Haiti. 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to Partners In Health. Show starts at 8pm; tickets $10 each. Lineup: KeyBook, Southern Belle, E-603, DJ Die Young.
SATURDAY JANUARY 16, 1pm-4pm. With a suggested donation of $30 (pay what you will), participate in a yoga workshop with Amy Leydon with live sitar music, followed by a special trunk show by Hadley Pollet. The funds will help support Yele Haiti, an organization founded by Haitian musician Wyclef Jean.
WEDNESDAY JANUARY 20, 6pm-9pm. Picco hosts an event to raise money for emergency relief in Haiti. Name your own donation ($25 suggested donation per person), and 100-percent of proceeds go directly to a charity supporting emergency relief in Haiti. Donors enjoy all-you-can-eat salad, pizza, ice cream and choice of a beer or glass of wine.
MONDAY JANUARY 25, 8am-10pm. UpStairs on the Square hosts a day-long fundraiser to support the relief efforts for the earthquake-devastated population of Haiti. All monies collected will be sent to Partners In Health. Guests will be able to make donations all through the day by credit card, check or cash. Raffle tickets for the evening raffle (at $10 per ticket) available for purchase throughout the day, with a drawing at the evening gathering.
SUNDAY JANUARY 24, 6pm-10pm. A $20 donation to Partners in Health includes your cover charge and a select cocktail. 100 percent of the sale of all sweet potato ravioli will ordered that evening will also be donated.
ONGOING UNTIL FRIDAY JANUARY 22. Taza Chocolate will donate half of the retail value of all chocolate sales through its website to Partners In Health (that's a pledge of $0.50 of every dollar of chocolate sold at http://TazaChocolate.com).
SUNDAY JANUARY 24, 9pm. Come together for an event hosted by 6one7 Productions; $10 donation requested per person.
SATURDAY JANUARY 23, 1pm-2:15pm. Haiti Earthquake Relief Yoga: Please join Checka for a benefit vinyasa flow yoga class. Cost for the class will be $5 (cash or check only please), and all proceeds will be donated to Partners in Health.
THROUGH SATURDAY JANUARY 23. In an effort to help a land of disaster through an industry of beauty, Plan B Cut and Color Boutique in Cambridge will match 20 percent of all pledges for Haiti made by the salon's Facebook Fans.
SATURDAY JANUARY 23, 6pm-10pm. This free community event will raise funds for earthquake relief in Haiti as part of Dance for World Community. The event will feature Boston and Cambridge youth dance group performances followed by a Community Dance Party where donations will be collected at the door and throughout the evening.
TUESDAY JANUARY 26, 6:30pm-10:30pm. One-night event includes open bar and live jazz, and guest chefs will be serving up passed hors d?oeurves from their respective menus, such as parmesan arancini, crab cakes, pizzas and bistecca tartare. 100 percent of the proceeds (suggested donation of $100 per person) will go directly and immediately to Yele Haiti, founded by Wyclef Jean. Guest chefs include: Michael Schlow of Radius, Anthony Caturano of Prezza, Marc Orfaly of Pigalle, Dante de Magistris of Dante and Il Casale.
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 7, 5pm-8pm. The Biltmore is partnering with Habitat For Humanity Greater Boston to raise funds for the re-building of Haiti. On Super Bowl Sunday, join Biltmore proprietor Jason Owens and Boston resident Matthew Thayer for a viewing party with a purpose. A $50 ticket includes a special menu and open bar; tickets will be available at the door. The evening will also include additional fundraising opportunities through the sale of Super Bowl Squares and raffle prizes.
Healthworks will donate all enrollment fees for the remainder of January to the Haitian relief fund via Partners in Health. They will also match all additional donations from members and staff for a maximum total contribution of $20,000. Donations are tax-deductible.
TUESDAY FEBRUARY 9, 7pm. Matt Smith, Passim Club Manager, will host a Haitian Relief Benefit Concert featuring Mark Erelli, Hanneke Cassel, Chris O'Brien and Margaret Glaspy--and many more artists to follow. Donations from ticket prices and raffle prizes will be collected at the event.
MONDAY FEBRUARY 15, 7pm-11pm. The Middle East Downstairs presents a benefit for the victims of the Haiti earthquake, featuring performances by Big Bear, Ketman, Chris Brokaw, Monique Ortiz, Art Decade, The Dirty Dishes. 18+, $10 minimum donation.
SATURDAY FEBRUARY 13, 9am-5pm. CrisisCamp will bring together volunteers in Boston to collaborate on technology projects which aim to assist in Haiti's relief efforts by providing data, information, maps and technical assistance to NGOs, relief agencies and the public.
